GUARD Cortez Edwards insists Worcester Wolves need to “man up and be ready to play” when they visit Surrey Scorchers in the BBL Cup tonight (7pm).
Wolves kicked off the new season with an impressive 92-67 victory over much-fancied London Lions at the University of Worcester Arena last week.
However Edwards is wary of the threats posed by Surrey who were edged out 107-99 by Bristol Flyers on the opening day.
“We have been doing a lot of five-on-five and one-on-one drills so we are ready to defend,” Edwards said.
“London had two main players whereas Surrey have five that all have slightly different games so we have to man up and be ready to play.”
