JEREMY Fallowfield claimed the overall honours in the Worcestershire Chess Championships at King’s School Worcester.
The RGS Springfield school chess coach scored 4½ points to be county champion.
Veteran victor was Brian Turner on 3½ and Peter Kitson took the seniors honours with three.
The women’s winner was Julie Wilson with three and new Worcester player Matthew Holmes was minor champion on tie-break from Rob Sutton with both on three.
Other players scoring three were county first team captain Stephen Woodhouse and Malvern player Ian Clarke.
The competition was organised for Worcestershire Chess Association by Ray Collett with Andrew Farthing the tournament controller.
