MORE home-grown talent has been added to Worcester Wolves’ roster following the signing of Jordan Williams.
The 6ft 8in British forward was a standout performer at the 2018 British Basketball All-Stars Championship, helping to lead Surrey Scorchers to the Trophy and was named the tournament’s MVP.
Williams, 23, also has a wealth of BBL experience from his time with Scorchers and last season averaged 11 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
Head coach Matt Newby was pleased to add “dynamic” and “athletic” Williams to his squad ahead of next season.
"Signing Jordan is a move I feel brings strength and versatility to our forward line. He has a strong pedigree and I feel with this opportunity greater responsibility."
“I feel as a young domestic player he has a accrued a good understanding of the dynamics of BBL and what it takes to be successful.
“He is dynamic and athletic with the ability to guard multiple positions and we will be looking for high output from the outset.”
Williams added: “I looking forward to coming in and starting with a fresh team to see what we can achieve, with the talent we have and the Wolf Pack behind us, it will be a great year.”
