WELTERWEIGHT Roodi Palmer defeated Hani Ramani of Windmill ABC in his debut bout for Worcester City ABC.
After an even first round Palmer turned up the pressure and forced two standing counts on his opponent with some heavy punches.
As the bout progressed into the third Palmer kept Ramani at long range using his jab to good effect.
The Windmill boxer continued to plough forward, swinging punches from all angles, but to no avail.
In the Junior Championships' Midlands Counties quarter-finals, Ryan Jones beat John Mullen of Solihull on points.
But the following day Jones was beaten by Ali Hulam of Warley by the narrowest of split decisions.
James Scarrott beat Michael Gebhard of Rectory on a split to reach the finals.
Layton Butler was given a walkover straight to the finals.
