A HORRIFIC leg injury to top-scorer Ben Miller overshadowed Worcester City's 2-1 FA Youth Cup second qualifying round defeat at Stourbridge last night.
The match was delayed for 25 minutes after the 17-year-old striker suffered a broken tibia and fibula in his right leg with just three minutes on the clock.
City went on to concede from Sam Beasley's penalty on 31 minutes and Dan Jones' 92nd-minute strike before Devon Smith netted a consolation header.
Youth Development Officer Ray Woods said: "It put the game into perspective. It's not so important when you see something like that happen.
"It was an accident and I am certain there was no malice in it but it was shock to everybody.
"We are just going to keep our fingers crossed and pray that it's not as bad as it looked."
Defender Liam Jauncey also limped off with suspected ankle ligament damage at half-time.
