OMBERSLEY have been crowned Worcestershire Cricket Board Under 12s champions.

They defeated Beacon after fighting their way to the final from an original list of more than 30 teams.

Further useful contributions from Tom Evans (15 not out) and Josh Passmore (8no) took the score to 127-3 in 20 overs. Although Beacon made 27 before the first wicket fell, wickets were then lost at regular intervals and they soon fell below the asking rate They eventually finished on 98-9, despite the Ombersley fielding not at their best.
