NORTH Midlands Under 19s will be away to Warwickshire in the first leg of their defence of the Sable's Head Trophy later this month.
They regained the much-prized trophy after two years in Warwickshire's possession but reclaimed it over two legs 12 months ago.
This season's first leg will be played at Broadstreet on Octo-ber 17 (7.30pm) with the return at Kings Norton seven days later (also 7.30pm kick-off).
The trophy winners will be decided by the aggregate scores over two legs.
The Sable's Head was presented to the Midlands Colts by a Combined Stellenbosch and Cape Town Universities side almost 50 years ago in appreciation of the rugby played against them on tour.
The trophy was presented annually to the winners of the Midlands Colts Championship, but is now contested only by Warwickshire and North Midlands - the two Midlands counties still fielding a representative side at under 19 level.
