WORCESTER City manager Andy Preece believes Boston United should not be under-estimated despite their double demotion.

The Lincolnshire club were in the Football League last season but find themselves in Blue Square North after being dropped two levels because of financial irregularities.

The York Street side were in danger of going out of business during the summer and only have a few players remaining from last season's squad.

However, they are currently one place above City, having won two of their last three league matches, including a 1-0 win against Tamworth.

They did, though, lose 2-1 at Burscough in their last league match on September 22 before beating Buxton 4-1 in the FA Cup.

Preece, who faced them in the League while boss at Bury, said: "They have had to change things around a little bit but I would have thought they have settled down.

"It will be a tough game, they have had a decent start. Whenever I went there with Bury it was always a difficult place to go, a tight ground, and it will be another tough away game."

City have lost their last two matches on the road, crashing out of the FA Cup last week and slumping to a 3-1 humiliation at Alfreton seven days earlier.

Preece said: "We want to get back on track but we are still in a decent position in the league. There's a big incentive for us to go and do well."

Midfielder Graham Ward and striker Mark Danks are both ruled out of Saturday's fixture in order for them to be rested with no match next week.

That could mean a first start of the season in midfield for Nick Colley, who played the last 16 minutes at his former club Tamworth last weekend.

Craig Wilding and Adam Webster should continue up front but Troy Wood is also a possibility should City be cautious over Wilding's impending hernia operation.

With Danks out, Preece could put himself on the bench as numbers will be limited with Danny Hodnett and Gary Walker still out on loan.

Rapinder Gill has also been a substitute for the last two games but is struggling with a tight hamstring and may be rested again.

However, if Peter Doran fails to prove his fitness after hobbling off in the cup, Ryan Clarke could be switched to the right and Gill recalled in the centre of defence.

Preece said: "Nick is the obvious one to come back in but we have got players that can come into the team such as Troy, who has been in and around the team all season.

"Rapinder is still struggling a bit with his hamstring even after the game on Saturday when he wasn't involved and he could do with a bit of a rest.

"We will have less options on the bench."

Boston go into the game on the back of a 2-1 mid-week victory at Gainsborough Trinity in the Setanta Shield.

They will also include new striker Jon Rowan, signed from Boston Town.
