BROMSGROVE Rovers are looking to bounce back from their FA Cup disappointment when they host Tiverton Town on Saturday (3pm).

The Victoria Ground side were beaten 2-0 at Nuneaton Borough in a second qualifying round replay in mid-week after drawing 1-1 on Saturday.

But Rovers have the chance to pick up their Southern League Premier Division campaign where they left off before the Nuneaton tie.

Rod Brown's team defeated Mangotsfield United 3-1 at headquarters on September 22 for their first three points on home soil this season.

Striker Neil Davis is a doubt for the Tiverton match after a recurrence of a calf injury, while striker Gary Hay (heel) and centre-half Carl Heeley (groin) are both out.

But Rovers assistant manager John Snape is confident left-sided player Kevin Banner could return either for the Tiverton match or Tuesday's trip to Clevedon Town.

Banner has not played since suffering a broken toe in the 1-1 draw against Cirencester on August 21.

Rovers are hopeful of adding further strength to their defence in the next two weeks.

Brown has enquired about Redditch's Ashley Walker and Solihull Moors centre-half Guy Sanders with a view to short-term moves.

He is also interested in Hereford duo Jordan Fitzpatrick and Marcus Palmer on loan.
