STOURPORT Swifts head to a Cinderford Town in turmoil on Saturday in the preliminary round of the FA Trophy (3pm).

Keith Knight quit as the Foresters manager on Wednesday night after his nine men fought back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Sutton Coldfield Town.

Former Worcester City midfielder Nathan Jukes and ex-Gloucester City striker Jimmy Cox were both sent off in the six-goal epic at the Causeway.

Following a meeting with the Cinderford chairman Ashley Saunders about player discipline, the ex-Cheltenham midfielder resigned after only a few months in the job.

Also leaving the Causeway are assistant manager Mike Davis and coach Derek Lightstone.

With his former club in a mess, Swifts boss Phil Mullen will hope his charges can build on their 2-1 derby victory over Malvern Town in Southern League Division One Midlands last weekend.

The win over their Worcestershire rivals was only Stourport's second victory of the campaign. The timely trip to the Forest of Dean could help the Walshes Meadow side boost their confidence.
