EVESHAM United have the chance to take advantage of the fixture list and climb the table this weekend.

Paul West's side visit Dunstable Town in one of only two matches in Southern League Division One Midlands on Saturday (3pm).

Most teams are involved in the FA Trophy preliminary round but the Robins don't enter until the next round when they take on Bromsgrove Rovers on Sunday, October 21.

Victory in Bedfordshire could see Evesham climb four places depending on goal difference and leap-frog their opponents in the process.

The match is also a game in hand for United on some sides following their run to the FA Cup third qualifying round.

West, whose team have not won in the league since the end of August, said: "We need to take an opportunity to put some points on the board.

"They are a decent side. It will be a tough game but we have got to be positive."

Forward Danny Myler and midfielder Tom Warmer both return to the side after being cup-tied against Quorn.

Mark Hands, due to have a groin operation this month, will be rested with next week's FA Cup game against Halesowen Town in mind but Worcester City defender Danny Hodnett is still available.

Keeper Nathan Vaughan has committed himself to the club after rejecting a move to Premier Division Corby Town.

West said: "I am delighted he has decided to commit himself to us for the remainder of the season."
