A BRYAN Craven missed penalty handed Stourport Swifts their first Southern League Division One Midlands victory of the season.

With the game poised at 2-1 to Stourport, Malvern's Craven had the opportunity to bag a share of the points after home keeper Craig Humphries felled Dan Harding-Hall in the box.

The referee awarded a spot-kick, but Craven dragged his effort wide.

Malvern had taken a 10th-minute lead when Harding-Hall's shot came back off the post and Craven was on hand to slot home the rebound.

Harding-Hall came close again on 35 minutes, but his header was cleared off the line by Scott Stamps.

The Swifts equalised when former Malvern player Rik Halion picked out Richard Burgess on the edge of the box to volley home.

After 56 minutes, Stourport's Steve Frost was denied by a goal-line clearance.

However, Frost was not to be denied again and he headed home what turned out to be the winner a minute later.
