WORCESTER Warriors captain Pat Sanderson and James Haskell of London Wasps have both been cited for illegally making contact with the eyes and eye areas of an opponent.

The incident involving the two players took place in the Guinness Premiership match at Sixways last Saturday.

They have subsequently been charged with foul play under law 10.4(k) following a report from the independent citing officer Alan Mansell.

Haskell and Sanderson have been summoned to appear at an RFU disciplinary hearing at the offices of the Judge Advocate General in London on Tuesday, October 2.

The case will be heard by a panel consisting of the RFU Disciplinary Officer His Honour Judge Jeff Blackett (chairman), Jeremy Summers and Michael White.
