A 5-1 win over Kings Heath put a summer of uncertainty firmly behind Evesham Women's Firsts.
The departure of their coach and senior players failed to stop a youthful Evesham team firing.
After a couple of early scares, the hosts settled into a good rhythm and got a deserved goal mid-way through the first-half through Emma Gardner from close range.
Stout defending and some great blocks by keeper Charmaine Mitchell prevented Heath from equalising.
Evesham's new midfield continued to work hard and Ness Dufty scored the important second just before the break.
The second-half started slowly but Evesham eventually stretched their lead through goals from Pippa Goddard, Dufty and Gardner.
