LOCAL basketball coach George Fraser-Barker, director of coaching at the Worcestershire School of Basketball, has accepted the position of head coach at Loughborough University - one of the most prestigious sporting universities in the UK.
Initially this will be for a two-year term, which will allow Fraser-Barker to integrate the Talented Athlete Scheme into the University's men's basketball development programme, which includes teams at National League, BUSA Premier Division and three other teams playing at varying levels.
The attendances at the Worcestershire School of Basketball, which takes place at Perdiswell Leisure Centre and Droitwich Leisure Centre, have increased since the club's formation in August.
