WORCESTERSHIRE had a double reason to be pleased in the last month of the Sky Sports Sixes League.
While GraemeHick was taking the overall title, Moeen Ali scooped the September award with seven sixes.
The youngster put himself in pole-position when he hit a 46-ball century against North-amptonshire Steelbacks which included six maximums. But it was Hick who proved he is the king of the big-hitters.
The 41-year-old smashed 28 sixes in all domestic one-day competitions to take the title - four clear of new England cap Luke Wright of Sussex.
"I'm thrilled to win," said Hick.
"It's been a good season for me and the team's success in one-day competitions has hel-ped. It's great to win.
"It wasn't until a few weeks ago that I started to think about winning.
"Batting lower down the order has meant that I've often been present at the end of an innings when there's an emphasis on big-hitting."
