IT has been a difficult start to the season for Worcester City but I am not overly concerned.
We knew the first 10 games would be tough and they have been made even tougher with injuries.
We have played teams at the top of the league - five of the current top seven - without having our main side out.
Chris Smith, Rapinder Gill and Shabir Khan, our three main centre-halves, as well as Adam Burley, were all out for Saturday's match against Harrogate.
I will be looking to see where we are after 10 games. When we have got the players back we should start moving.
If we are near the top half after the start we have had I will be delighted, and that's a possibility because we are only six games into the season.
However, I am not making excuses, I think we have got what we deserved so far. We could have had a couple more points but not many more than that.
We do have to be a little bit more consistent in our performances, even throughout one game of football, but I think that will come with a settled team.
Chris and Rapinder should be back for Saturday's trip to Tamworth, along with Peter Doran, so things will be looking better in that respect.
Patrece Liburd also did very well on his debut at the weekend. He hasn't had a game for a while and, against two decent strikers, it was very encouraging.
We haven't played Tamworth for a while. It's a local derby and a big game for both teams.
It's a fixture we thought could be the toughest of the opening games, being away, and I am sure it will be very tight.
Both of us are mid to lower table where it's very tight - only three points between us and the top half - but I am encouraged by the last couple of performances.
I thought the game on Sat-urday was an unbelievably exciting match with end to end action in the second-half.
But we had to work for the point. Harrogate played well in the first-half and we were never in the game. They were much the better side and showed why they are at the top of the league.
We just couldn't handle their passing and movement and I thought if we could get in at half-time 0-0 and change things around we would be OK.
Although a goal down, we matched them with their system of 4-4-2 and showed a little bit more desire, movement and belief in the second-half.
We got a point and it could have been three although they could have scored as well.
I also thought it was another good game against Kettering despite the result. Even the away match at Telford was good.
The attendance situation at St George's Lane is not something I want to go on about.
I think the fans have been brilliant. We have been clapped off after every game even though we haven't won.
We also had a great following at Burscough and Telford so we can't ask for more from the fans that are turning up.
We have got to make sure we are winning and what will be will be.
