FORMER Cheltenham Town winger Ashley Vincent has been appointed the new assistant manager of Worcester City.
Vincent returns to City – where he made 12 appearances in the 2015-16 campaign – to assist boss John Snape for next season.
Starting his career at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Vincent has played for Cheltenham, Port Vale, Colchester United and Shrewsbury Town.
The 33-year-old joined City in the summer 2015 only to last five months as he struggled to nail down a starting spot.
But Vincent who hung up his boots last year said he was looking forward to working with Snape at the Midland League Premier Division outfit again.
“I’m delighted to be coming back to assist John at undoubtedly the biggest club at this level,” Vincent told City’s website.
City also confirmed Luca Gabriel would remain as manager of the reserves and as a first-team coach while Aaron White would stay on as head scout.
