DROITWICH suffered Twickenham heartbreak for the second time in 12 months when they were trounced 63-14 by rampant Camberley in the RFU Intermediate Cup final.
Last season Droitwich lost 37-15 to Farnham in the RFU Senior Vase final.
Despite the town side travelling in confident mood, the Surrey outfit's backs took them apart and ran in nine tries including four from captain Ashley Wright.
Wright’s brother Oliver also scored a try along with Henry Tagg, Mua Inoke and Joshua Lewanituva (2).
The skipper scored his first try in the first minute and the match was effectively over as a contest by the end of the first quarter as Camberley strolled into a 27-0 lead.
Midlands Two West (South) champions Droitwich responded with a try after 26 minutes when scrum-half Joshua Skinner outpaced his opposite number to score in the corner.
Fly-half Bobby Scott-Walker converted to make it 27-7 at half-time.
Ashley Wright completed his hat-trick early in the second half followed by a quick brace from Lewanituva and Tagg took Camberley over the 50-point mark.
Spa scored a late consolation through full-back Matt Barnes but Camberley had the final say with two tries in the final five minutes from replacement Inoke and a fourth from Wright.
Droitwich admitted on Twitter: "Fair play. Camberley were brilliant and by far the best team we have played in a long time.
"The lads kept going all the way to the final whistle and we are immensely proud of our club."
