DROITWICH Rugby Club underlined their title-winning credentials in Midlands Two West (South) with a 41-0 trashing of third-placed Kenilworth.
Brad Cook marked his debut on the wing with a hat-trick in the first 20 minutes. There were also tries for Staite (2), new dad Mark Strutt and Rob Poke with Bobby Scott-Walker adding three conversions.
The victory extends Droitwich’s winning streak to eight and keeps them three points clear of closest rivals Malvern.
Droitwich visit mid-table Leamington on Saturday (2.15pm).
Director of rugby Adam Drew said: “Kenilworth are a big athletic-looking side and we felt we were going to have our work cut out to live with them.
“However, the early breakthrough got our tails up and we never really took our foot off the gas.”
Droitwich, who were beaten finalists in last season’s RFU Senior Vase are just three matches from a reappearances a Twickenham.
But they will have to overcome Leek after drawing the Staffordshire side away in the semi-final of the RFU Intermediate Cup on January 20. The winner will face either Whitchurch or Newark in the final.
