SARAH Cowburn has been selected to represent Great Britain at the World Junior Rowing Championships in Beijing, China, in August.
The 18-year-old, a member of Worcester Rowing Club, will race in the single scull at the 2008 Olympic course.
Cowburn has won all of the Great Britain junior trials this year and is also the top ranked junior femaleon the indoor rowing machine.
Her selection comes shortly after taking a silver medal at the prestigious Munich Inter-national Junior Regatta, racing against national squad opposition from all over Europe in May. This was the first junior women's sculling medal for Great Britain at this regatta for 15 years.
Cowburn will now go on to a series of training camps prior to flying out to China with the rest of the World Junior Championship team at the end of July.
