ANDY Williams has finally completed his protracted move to Bristol Rovers.

The 20-year-old striker, a target of the West Country club for the best part of 12 months, has signed a three-year deal.

Hereford United and Rovers have agreed a compsensation fee for the player but the amount is not expected to be revealed until next week.

The newly-promoted League One club, nicknamed the Pirates, had a £150,000 bid accepted in January but Williams, who scored 21 times for the Bulls in 88 appearances, decided against the move.

However, a move had been expected since the end of last season and out-of-contract Williams was officially unve-iled at a press conference yesterday.

Rovers director of football Lennie Lawrence said: "It has taken a while, but we are delighted we have finally got him."

Meanwhile, former Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Jake Sedgemore has signed for Blue Square Premier rivals Altrincham.

The 28-year-old, released from Aggborough at the end of last season, has joined the Robins just weeks after they were given a repreive from relegation following the double demotion of Boston United.

Sedgemore has also had previous spells at Conference level with Shrewsbury, Northwich Victoria and Burton, while also playing in the League with Shrewsbury and Bury.
