NUNNERY Wood Falcons Under Eights won their first tournament with success at the Ledbury Swifts annual summer competitions.
Placed in a group with the hosts, Bartestree Bulldogs and Ross Junior Rangers, they recorded one victory and two draws. Their win was in game one as Owen Roberts converted Oli Stout's cross in a 1-0 triumph over Bartestree.
Chances went begging in a 0-0 tie with Ross before an even closer 0-0 with Ledbury.
Group runners-up Falcons then drew 0-0 with Hinton in the semi-finals.
In the penalty shoot-out, Oli Gore pulled off three great saves to ensure a 4-3 victory. Falcons then took on Ross again in the final which again went to penalties after a 0-0 draw. Gore made another crucial save and Bailey Fuller scored the tournament-winning spot-kick.
