CURRENT North Midlands Schools Cup champions RGS Worcester have been given a bye to the second round of next season's competition.

RGS will miss the first round, which is scheduled to be completed by October 12, and will then travel to play the winners of the Ringwood v Prince Henry's High School, Evesham tie in the second round which is scheduled to be played no later than Nov-ember 29.

The final of the competition, which is for under 16s, will be played at Malvern RFC's Spring Lane ground on March 5 along with the final of the Plate for sides beaten in the first round of the Cup.

North Midlands Schools Cup 2007/08: First round draw: King's Worcester v Evesham; Hereford Cathedral v Whitecross; Ringwood v Prince Henry's HS. Ties to be played by October 12.

Second round draw: Lacon Child or Church Stretton v Wrekin College or Ludlow; King's Worcester or Evesham v King Edward's, Aston; Hereford Cathedral or Whitecross v Bishop's, Hereford; Malvern College v Kingstone or St Mary's; Ringwood or Prince Henry's HS v RGS Worcester; Bromsgrove School v King Edwards Five Ways or Bishop Challenor. Ties to be played by November 29.
