SIXTY and Worcestershire members Nigel Hall and Kevin Bowcott achieved stunning results in the PK Memorial Rally in North Wales.

Malvern's Hall was driving his Ford Escort Mk2 with Worcester's Bowcott in charge of the maps on the event which started in Corwen and covered 120 miles of rain-soaked and foggy Welsh lanes.

The pair were seeded a lowly 50th out of a start list of 70 and conquered the awful conditions to finish eighth overall and first in class, beating more experienced and established crews.

The car only suffered some minor damage after sliding off in the wet conditions leading to a collision with a plough.Another club crew comprising of Nigel Graham and Matt Mclean also had a creditable finish in the top 20, using Graham's Talbot Sunbeam.

The event was a round of the North Western Car Clubs, Association of Welsh Motor Clubs and the Glynne Edwards Memorial Champion-ships.
