WORCESTERSHIRE School Sailing and Canoeing Association has received a grant of £2,500 from the Youth Opportunity Fund (FLOSS).
The grant application was submitted by young members of the WSSCA and the funds will be used to purchase a Topaz Uno Race Plus sailing dinghy.
Jim Rosser co-ordinated the grant application and said it will allow the WSSCA members to experience sailing a state-of-the-art racing dinghy and compete at the highest levels.
The new boat will be arriving in time for a maiden launch during the Schools' County Regatta at Upton Warren this weekend.
