KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will have a clean bill of health for the start of pre-season training.

The Aggborough squad return for pre-season training next Wednesday ahead of the new Blue Square Premier campaign.

Three players have had routine operations in recent weeks but manager Mark Yates expects everyone to be fit and ready.

Captain Stuart Whitehead and strikers Isyden Christie and James Constable have all had routine operations in recent weeks.

Whitehead and Christie both had clean-up work on ankles, while Wembley two-goal hero Constable had surgery on a hernia problem.

Yates said: "Everybody in the squad will be fit and ready for the first day of pre-season training next Wednesday.

"These were operations that footballers often get in the summer, as soon as that last game finishes you tend to be and getting any clear-out and repair stuff done."

Meanwhile, Harriers will be extending the early bird' discount period on season tickets for another week.

The special offer was due to end tomorrow but the ticket office will be open on Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

Season tickets will then remain on sale at the reduced price until a week on Friday at 4.30pm. Normal season ticket prices apply from Monday, July 9.
