WORCESTER Nomads earned a losing draw at leaders Droitwich in Crusader Worcestershire League Second XI Division One.

Droitwich slumped to 61-4 but improved to hit 186 with Nigel Haddock (60) starring.

Neil Thompson (2-50), Dominic Harris (2-48) and Ben Chatfield (1-32) claimed wickets.

Sam Roberts (47) batted sensibly and Casey Sanders (22 not out) performed courageously as Nomads managed 149-9. Martyn Davies took 4-43.

Nomads Thirds defeated Amblecote and Wollaston by four wickets in Division Eight.

They restricted their visitors to 121-7 with 13-year-old Bradley Strain (3-15) taking his first senior wickets. Dave Pearson weighed in with 3-16.

Nomads completed victory with 12 overs left as Neil Harding (34) and Jon Dimond (20) top-scored.

In Division One, Worcester Seconds played out a losing draw at Astwood Bank despite the efforts of Ollie Peppiatt (47) with the bat.

Old Vigornians Seconds lost to Cutnall Green by 53 runs in Division Three with Will Smith taking 4-21.

Green fell for 174, with Brian Lavell making 65no, but OVs could only make 121.

Lavell claimed 6-50 and Phill O'Neill made a quick 23.
