SIBLINGS Alexander and Sasha Lloyd are flourishing under the guidance of 81-year-old coach John Harding at Lyppard Grange.
Alexander is top of the highly-respected national under 11s Leon Paul Junior Foil Series, who run competitions throughout the UK.
He is tipped to be one of the country's most promising young fencers.
Alexander recently won the under 12s 10th anniversary Hereford & Worcester County Schools Championship at Bromsgrove School and sister Sasha was not far behind, winning bronze in the under 10s foil at the age of eight.
Alexander's next major competition is the English Youth Championships which will be held in Stoke in July. It is a prestigious event and attracts the very best junior fencers in the UK.
Both children attend The Grange school in Worcester, which has now introduced fencing as an after-school club. Lyppard Grange holds a fencing session for children on a Saturday afternoon from 2-3pm.
