WORCESTERSHIRE'S Twenty20 Cup clash with Warwickshire Bears tomorrow has been cancelled after New Road flooded.
It is the first time the County's pitch has flooded during the season since May 31, 1969.
Chief executive Mark Newton is looking into using another venue for tomorrow's clash, but admits it will be difficult at such short notice.
He said: "The problem is that at such short notice the regulations say you can only switch a fixture to another ground in your county.
"We don't think this will be possible - there is not enough notice to prepare a wicket among other things - but we are making phone calls.
"Our rain check policy applies for all tickets we have sold, whereby people can reclaim their ticket for any other match during the season, except Twenty20."
All hospitality and restaurant bookings have had to be cancelled and the club will advise on any alternative venue and the implications for ticket holders as soon as possible.
