DROITWICH Spa Boys and Girls Football Club has won Worcestershire FA's prestigious community club of the year prize.
Club chairman Wayne Oliver said the award was a surprise but rewarded the effort put in by many volunteers.
Oliver said: "It is particularly pleasing that the community element of the club has been recognised."
The club now runs 29 squads from ages six to 18 and has over 400 playing members.
They have top coaching through ex-West Brom player Bernard McNally and former goalkeeper Bernard Day.
