WORCESTER Wanderers secured a fine 24-12 victory at Midlands One West top-five side Wolverhampton.
The 11th-placed Weston’s Fields side host Moseley Oak on Saturday having moved within one point of local rivals Hereford and three off this weekend’s opponents.
Hereford crashed 53-12 at league leaders Newport.
Worcestershire clubs Droitwich and Evesham progressed to the RFU Midlands Senior Vase semi-finals.
Spa enjoyed a 60-3 thrashing of Northamptonshire hosts Daventry, while Evesham defeated visitors Long Buckby 40-13.
Michael Diston, Scott Fairfax and Scott Boulton scored tries alongside a penalty apiece from Sam Hopkins and Michael Harris to put Evesham 21-10 up at half-time.
Joe Cafearo and Rob Wilkes both crossed the whitewash for Evesham in the second period with Hopkins notching two more penalties.
But Bromyard and Chaddesley Corbett both exited the RFU Midlands Junior Vase quarter-finals after home ties.
Bromyard lost 13-8 to Sileby Town and Chaddesley fell 45-16 to East Retford.
Matt Swain scored a first-half try and Toby Rivers converted a penalty for Bromyard.
Meanwhile, Bromsgrove continued to find life difficult at the bottom of National League Three South West.
They lost 41-13 at home to Bracknell and have won just one out of 12 fixtures.
