The town side dismissed their hosts for 143 and then collected 20 points with the help of Jon Boult (62) and Damon Gariff (51 not out).

Bottom-of-the-table Chaddesley Corbett struggled again in a losing draw at Eastnor, while Bewdley had to be content with five points at Stourbridge.

But Worcester picked up a fine six-wicket victory at home to Astwood Bank.

Bank posted a useful 196-6 from their 39 overs due to a delayed start.

Andrew Clayton hit a fine 75 and Steven Clarke added 47, while Liam Kelleher claimed 3-65 to wrap the innings up.

Worcester got off to a good start with Simon Keyte carrying his bat for 109no.

Adam Bolton struck 33 and Dan McKay 33 as the city side won with three overs to spare to claim 20 points compared to Bank's five.

As the weather struck three other games, Kidderminster Victoria and Martley picked up handy victories.

Martley defeated fellow strugglers Harborne by 60 runs with fine shows from J Gless (88) and Patrick Bibby (53) with the bat and James Ganderton (4-56) with the ball.

Kidderminster Victoria Thirds defeated Wyre Forest rivals Stourport comfortably with David Bannister taking 6-45.

Old Elizabethans Thirds increased the gap at the top of Division Four South with an emphatic win over Himbleton.

Himbleton were asked to bat first on a slow pitch and found scoring hard at first.

Teenagers Ryan Biggerstaff (3-21) and Alex Bastable (2-10) bowled with great accuracy early on.

Steve May continued his dominance with the ball, grabbing a brace of wickets, and was well supported by Matt Tyrrell and Phil Slade.

The young openers came back at the close to finish off the Himbleton innings at 143.

Howard Nicholls scored a watchful 25 at the head of the reply, mainly due to fabulous control of line and length by the Himbleton attack.

A flurry of wickets left the home side in some strife but May and Jon Sprague then took command of the innings with a match-winning stand.

May blasted an unbeaten 78 and Sprague departed for 35 close to the end after an ambitious reverse sweep.

Birlingham had to settle for a winning draw at Rushwick after totalling a handy 211-4 which included 82 from Gordon Jenkins and 67 by Martin Downes.
