WORCESTER Nomads Under 12s A' defeated Rushwick by 37 runs.

Nomads captain Tom Webb won the toss and elected to bat first.

Heron bowled a lively opening spell, removing Webb for two runs.

Neils Emmerson (14) and James Cooper (13) then produced scintillating shots, putting on 30 for the second wicket.

Harry Williams (30 retired) and Ali Hunt (31 retired) then put on 50 for the fourth wicket.

Wickets started to tumble as the Nomads batsmen chased a huge total.

After the allotted 20 overs, they finished on 150-7 with Ryan Gwilliam and Robert Wootton scoring 20 for the eighth wicket.

Rushwick started their innings struggling against the bowling of Ali Hunt (0-9 off three overs).

The villagers started to accelerate the run-rate but could not master the Nomads attack.

Andy Woodyatt, Ben Rattue and Reece Lane all bowled tight spells, restricting Rushwick to 113-2 off their 20 overs, giving Nomads victory.

Tom Badger and Woodyatt took a wicket each. Hunt (31 retired), Dilley (23) and Heron (15 not out) scored the runs for Rushwick.

Meanwhile, Nomads Under 11s lost to Colwall by 43 runs.

The Worcester side won the toss and elected to field.

But Colwall made good progress, only losing three wickets as they scored 292 off their 16 overs.

F Coleman (27) and B Cooke (24) scored the majority of the runs, while Dominic Badger and Ben Gunn took a wicket each.

Nomads were never in the run-chase, scoring 249-5 off their 16 overs.

Jake Pinder-Hampton scored 17 with O Warrilow, B Leighton and J Watts taking one wicket each.
