A SUPERB throw from deep square-leg by Tim Clarke inspired Barnards Green's Carnival Cup final victory.

Clarke ended Stoke Prior star Neil Fletcher's innings as he was run-out for 40 and it then went downhill for the villagers.

Tim Williams and man-of-the-match Andy Ford (3-15) dried up the runs as Prior ended on 108-8.

Liam Paddock (39 not out) and Kevin Golder (48) batted well to give Green a comfortable eight-wicket victory.

In Worcester Evening League Division Two, MCT XI and Northwick Strollers ended up with a tie.

Needing 14 from the final over, only 13 were scored by Strollers.

Veteran Phil Spencer (2-30) took the only wickets for Malvern Artefacts against Worcester Academicals.
