STEVE Tunley played a starring role as Crowle beat Malvern by 67 runs in a friendly.
Man-of-the-match Tunley scored 46 runs in Crowle's 166-9 from 40 overs and took a stunning catch.
The villagers were put into bat on a damp wicket and Ian Hope departed for 14 before Tunley and Andy Hawes (32) took the score onto 95.
A mini-collapse sent Crowle crashing to 140-7 but Ian Woodfield (12) and Lyndon Bendall (9 not out) steadied the batting.
Steve Whittaker took 3-39 for Malvern who then crashed to 99 all out.
Bendall (1-17) and Dave Jessop (1-15) bowled accurately before Tunley took his great catch to remove Oliver Bendall for 29 off Sam Jones.
Jones ended with 2-15 and Ryan Sneddon 3-13, while Jack Holt's spin accounted for two batsmen and Hope took the last wicket.
