PROMISING rookie 'keeper Steve Taylor has quit Kidderminster Harriers after turning down a new contract offer.
The former AFC Telford United youngster was back-up to Scott Bevan last season but showed his potential in eight appearances between the sticks.
Taylor, 21, is now looking for a new club and Harriers boss Mark Yates must find a stopper to cover for first-choice Bevan.
Yates said: "We're disappointed to lose Stevie obviously but I completely understand his decision and we all wish him the very best for the future."
Harriers have made one summer signing so far - 26-year-old Justin Richards on a free transfer from Peterborough. The striker will compete with Iyseden Christie and James Constable in attack.
Meanwhile, controversial former Premier League referee Graham Poll will be the guest speaker at Harriers' sportsman's dinner on Friday, October 12, at the Aggborough Suite. Anyone interested in attending can e-mail Helen MacDonald at helen.macdon ald@harriers.co.uk.
