WORCESTER City Women's star Annie Highway has had her efforts for the team recognised with a top award.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has been named West Midlands Division One South player of the season.
City finished runners-up in the league to Copsewood Coventry after leading the table for much of the season.
Manager Paul Hennessey said: "Annie has had a tremendous season for us and is a very talented player.
"She will be moving on to university in Leeds next season where she will hopefully go on to play at a much higher level."
The first team and reserves start their pre-season training programme on Tuesday, July 17, at Bilford Road.
New players aged 16 or over are welcome to attend. For further information contact Debbie Band on 07952-498738 or visit www.worcestercity wfc.co.uk.
