OLDHAM Athletic have signed midfielder Ousmane Fane from National League North side Kidderminster Harriers for around £30,000.
The 22-year-old has agreed a two-year contract with the option of a third with the Latics, subject to Football League approval, after impressing on trial.
Fane appeared in the pre-season friendly against Wigan Athletic and also impressed in their Lancashire FA Senior Cup victory over Manchester United.
He made 20 appearances for Harriers last season as they were relegated from the National League and attracted interest from several higher division clubs.
It is believed Harriers will receive three payments of £10,000 but the figure could go up to £50,000 on appearances.
Chairman Colin Gordon has also negotiated a sell-on clause for Fane.
