EVESHAM United bounced back from their demoralising 7-3 defeat to Stratford Town with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Gloucester City in a friendly at the Jubilee Stadium.
Summer signing Paul Fahy opened the scoring just two minutes in before Gloucester’s French trialist Jean-Yves Koue Niate grabbed the equaliser.
Manager Paul Collicutt was delighted with the Robins’ improved showing.
United’s attentions now turn to their home Worcestershire FA Senior Cup semi-final against Kidderminster Harriers tomorrow (7.45pm kick-off).
The winners of the tie will meet Redditch United in the final at Bromsgrove on Saturday (3pm).
Harriers were undone on Tuesday evening by a goal in each half by Burton Albion winger Marcus Harness in a 2-0 reverse.
Hereford FC continued their impressive run of form in pre-season with a 2-0 victory over Monmouthshire side Undy Athletic.
Rob Purdie fired the Bulls in front thanks to a deflected effort before John Mills doubled his side’s advantage in the second half.
It follows on from Hereford’s 6-0 win against Pegasus Juniors and last weekend’s 6-1 drubbing of Lydney Town.
Elsewhere, Dave Reynolds struck twice as Malvern Town came from 2-0 down at half-time to claim a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw at Bishop’s Cleeve.
