THERE was a clean sweep for Cotswold Hills League clubs in two regional groups of this summer's npower Village Cup earlier today.

Wins for Bretforton and Overbury will mean the pair lock horns in the Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Powys group final on June 24, while Exhall and Wixford will now visit Earlswood in the Leicestershire and Warwickshire decider on the same Sunday.

Bretforton had the easiest passage of the quartet after bowling out Eastnor for 130 with Darren Key taking four wickets and Jon Gregory three.

There were runs all down the order with Stuart Berry scoring an unbeaten 49 leaving big hitting Paul Jones to come to the crease with victory a seven-wicket victory a formality.

Next opponents Overbury had a far more difficult task, or so it appeared at Feckenham, after the hosts had rattled up 240.

However, led by Jamie Munro's century, Overbury ensured an all-CHL final.

Exhall looked home and dry at tea having amassed a daunting 255-4 at Thorpe Arnold.

Matt Gwynn led the way at the top of the order with 83, while fellow opener Jon Simpson chipped in with 48.

It was left to Steve Kerby to lead the late chase for runs and he did it in fabulous fahsion with 91 off 50 balls.

He then grabbed three wickets and Simpson four as the home side were dismissed for 174.

Earlswood's batsmen were also in tip-top form as they successfully chased Billesdon's total of 218.

They, like Bretforton had six men waiting to bat in the pavilion when the target was reached.
