WORCESTER’S Pitmaston Primary School Year 5 and 6 football team have enjoyed a stunning season.
The St John’s youngsters visited West Bromwich Albion Academy Dome for the Premier League football regional finals.
Having overcome 20 local schools, they saw off the Black Country’s best to be crowned West Brom regional champions.
The boys represented the Baggies at the Premier League schools finals at Everton’s Goodison Park.
They walked out via the player’s tunnel, had their picture taken with the league trophy and wore their West Brom kit with pride against 19 other qualifiers.
Pitmaston completed their season in style by beating Cherry Orchard 10-1 and then ending the unbeaten record of Perdiswell with a 3-1 success.
They won the city large schools’ league championship for the second time in three years.
Pitmaston also set up a knockout shield semi-final with Northwick Manor in pursuit of a treble.
