WORCESTER Sixth Form College footballer Chris Wynn has completed a tremendous season playing for the College, Worcestershire Schools and England Under 18 Schools.

Wynn, who was a pupil at Worcester's Dines Green Primary School and Christopher Whitehead High School, has also won the accolade of captaining his country and helping the England U18 Schools to retain the home countries Centen-ary Shield.

The teenager was one of 24 players accepted into the Worcester Sixth Form Football Academy just under a year ago. Since then Wynn has worked hard to develop his football, through the support of coaches and teachers within the college's academy set-up.

This has also allowed him to combine his A' level studies with his football and as a first year student he continues to study law, biology and film Studies at WSFC.

Initially Wynn represented Worcestershire U18s at county level after being put forward following some exceptional performances for the college.

After being selected to attend the West Midlands regional trials for the English Schools FA, he progressed to the national trials held at Sheffield United's Forsyth Academy training complex where he was selected for the English Schools U18s national squad.

He enjoyed training camps with the English national team at venues such as the Villareal training Complex, Lilleshall National Sports Centre and Keele University.

Wynn established himself as a key member of England's back-four playing at centre-back. He was honoured with the England captaincy against the Republic of Ireland and was named man-of-the-match against Scotland, Northern Ireland, Loughborough University and the RAF.

Several top flight clubs have shown an interest in the Sixth Form star and he continues to go to trials.

The England Schools set-up have also said that they would like him to represent his country again and he is also keen on the possibility of accepting a scholarship to play collegiate soccer in the United States.
