FOUR players have agreed new deals with Worcester City for next season.

George Clegg, Nick Colley, Danny Hodnett and Shabir Khan have all put pen to paper on contracts committing them to the St George's Lane club for another 12 months.

However, City are still waiting on decisions from Shaun Findlay, Troy Wood and Gary Walker regarding their futures.

The trio have been offered new terms by City but are yet to agree anything with manager Andy Preece.

Former Manchester United trainee Clegg made 47 starts for City last season and was the team's third-highest scorer with 13 goals, five of which came from the penalty spot.

Colley started 36 times for Worcester but fell out of favour and, following the trip to Blyth on January 27, was only named in the starting 11 once before March 23.

Hodnett became something of a surprise package in defence towards the end of the campaign, eventually making 16 starts in total.

The 20-year-old was farmed out on loan to Gloucester City on a deal due to last until the end of the season but he was quickly recalled as cover against Welling in the FA Trophy.

Sporadic appearances followed but the former Kidderminster player did hold down a place in the team for the final four matches.

Fellow defender Khan showed glimpses of his ability as the season reached its climax, being preferred at the back for key games against Droylsden, Hinckley United and Hyde in March.

Unfortunately, the 21-year-old pulled his hamstring against Worksop Town in April and was ruled out for the last two matches.
