SCRUM-HALF Stuart Doust is in line to make history for Bredon Star by being their first player to win Worcestershire and Herefordshire senior honours.
Doust is in the squad for the Iskitz Three Counties Championship opener against Greater Birmingham at Birmingham Exiles’ Elmdon ground tomorrow night (7.30pm).
He will become the first Star player to wear the plum and apple shirt if he makes his county bow.
The counties seek to deny Shropshire a fourth successive title in the North Midlands RFU competition.
Shropshire completed a hat-trick of wins by beating them 24-13 in last season’s final.
They launch their campaign against Worcestershire and Herefordshire at Kidderminster Carolians on April 26 and host Greater Birmingham at Shrewsbury on May 3.
The final between the top two teams will be at Newport on May 14.
