WITH their hopes of qualifying for the Friends Provident Trophy semi-finals hanging by a thread, Worcestershire face local rivals Warwickshire in a must-win clash at New Road on Sunday (10.45am).

Having been soundly beaten by Durham, who moved second in the Northern Conference table with the win today, Worcestershire now have to win all of their remaining three games just to have a chance of reaching the knock-out stage.

To make the New Road club's task even more difficult, the unbeaten Bears are one of the division's form teams, having won four of their six games to sit second in the table.

Former Warwickshire batsman Moeen Ali looks set to retain the number three berth for the hosts after top-scoring with 86 in today's 143-run thrashing at the Riverside.

Opener Stephen Moore is likely to be the man to miss out to accommodate Moeen, while Roger Sillence (side strain) and Matt Mason (shoulder) are still on the injury list.

Warwickshire won the two sides' recent LV County Championship Divison One meeting by an innings and 113 runs.

They have named a similar side for Sunday's clash but will also be able to call upon Sri Lankan ace Kumar Sangakkara.

Worcestershire: Solanki, Jaques, Moeen Ali, Smith, Hick, Davies, Batty, Hogg, Kabir Ali, Price, Bollinger, Moore.

Warwickshire: Maddy, Westwood, Sangakkara, Trott, Troughton, Loudon, Ambrose, Streak, Groenewald, Steyn, Anyon, Daggett.
