WORCESTER City are destined to finish in mid-table next season if the latest bookmakers' odds are to be believed.

City have been quoted at 16/1 to win Blue Square North, 11th on the odds list with Ladbrokes to win promotion to the Premier.

Andy Preece's side finished ninth last season, six points behind the play-off places, despite heading into their final game with a chance of reaching the top five.

Preece has admitted next season will be tougher with the likes of Tamworth, Southport, Kettering and AFC Telford to contend with and has already released Des Lyttle and Tom Warmer.

Newly relegated Tamworth are favourites for the title at 5/1 with fellow new boys Altrincham and Southport both at 6/1. Hinckley, who were beaten by Farsley Celtic in the play-off final, are 12/1, while Redditch United and Leigh RMI are both 66/1 outsiders.
