FORMER European champions Nottingham Forest will play Worcester City as part of their pre-season programme.

Colin Calderwood's side, currently plying their trade in League One, are due to visit St George's Lane on Saturday, August 4 (3pm).

The match, not expected to feature Forest's first team, is one of three fixtures confirmed by City as they prepare for the 2007/08 campaign.

Andy Preece's men will visit Bromsgrove Rovers on Tuesday, July 17 (7.45pm) as part of the deal that has seen defender Rapinder Gill arrive at the Lane.

City will then host League Two champions Walsall on Saturday, July 21 (3pm) and manager Richard Money is expected to field his first team.

Four other pre-season games - three at home and one away - are also in the pipeline before City begin the new season on Saturday, August 11.

Tenants Evesham United will provide the opposition for one although dates are yet to be confirmed.

Admission for all home games will be normal match-day prices.
