RGS Worcester Firsts are aiming to win the Chesterton Cup for the third year in a row.
They made the final against Cheltenham College at Worcestershire CCC on June 10 following wins over Monmouth School and old rivals King's School Worcester.
Against Monmouth, RGS batted first on a wet wicket and Tom Brain and Olli Flower (49) built a solid platform before Neil Pinner (50) took the reins.
RGS posted a challenging 190 in 40 overs and Monmouth never really got into their stride.
The RGS off-spin of Pinner, Dan Sproul (3-18) and James Ganderton slowed the run-rate down. Jack Watkins picked up four wickets and Monmouth were all out for 111.
The semi-final at King's School saw the hosts make a promising start.
Tom Longly scored 42 but it was left to beefy blows from Tom Gwynne (64 not out) to get King's up to a respectable 181-9 in 40 overs.
RGS made a faltering start but Sproul (50) lent excellent support to Pinner (81no), putting on 143 for the third wicket, and the target was reached in the 33rd over.
