A NEW summer six-a-side league is starting at Nunnery Wood Sports Centre's astroturf pitches in Worcester from the end of June.
The league is being launched by SoccerSixes, a national six-a-side league organiser, and will run every Sunday from 3pm to 6pm.
It will have 32 teams and will be the biggest six-a-side league in the area.
It is estimated the league will be very popular as there is no 11-a-side football throughout the summer.
SoccerSixes are online at www.soccersixes.net and participating teams will be able to view all league information, including league tables, on the website each week.
The new league, which will be FA-affiliated and already has 21 teams registered, looks likely to fill up quickly.
Teams of any standard are welcome as there will be several different divisions.
All equipment will be supplied and the fees will be £2.50 per player.
Anyone who is interested in entering a team should call SoccerSixes on 0870 3300888 or they can register online at www.soccersixes.net.
Places are strictly on a first come, first served basis.
